Quantum Instruments
Quantum Instruments Inc. was founded in 1975 and entered the photo business in 1978. We design and manufacture photo equipment, flash units, power and battery specifically for the professional and serious photographer.
We are a company of about 75 consisting of electrical engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing supervisors and assemblers, sales, marketing, quality control, customer support and IT people. We are fortunate that our experienced staff allows us to keep production in the U.S. This allows us to stay on top of trends in the photo market and to stay close to our customers with products that enhance productivity. We are always developing new products and enhancements to our existing products.

*Please note: to facilitate proper functionality, a firmware update is required. As both the T5D-R and FW7Q will require this update, both devises will need to be returned to the factory for update. This update will be done free of charge (shipping not included) for a limited time. Proof of purchase of a CoPilot must be provided. This free T5D-R and FW7Q update is for firmware versions 2A and up. Earlier versions will be provided at a reduced rate. It is still possible to upgrade a T4D-R to the current version as well.
The cost of converting a QFT4, QFX4 to QFT5dR, QFX5dR is normally $189 with the purchase of a CoPilot the cost of the conversion is $125. The cost of converting a QFT5d, QFX5d to QFT5dR, QFX5dR is normally $114 with the purchase of a CoPilot the cost of the conversion is $75.
